St. Petersburg’s white nights are the key to every successful event, especially fashion one. Closing this spring season, Igor Chapurin, one of the greatest designers of modern Russia, presented his 2018/2019 collection in the Central Exhibition Hall of the Northern Capital. All guests in total black, champagne, old friends and he, who took the first prize in the competition of young designers organised by Nina Ricci in 1992.
The collection is light and breathing! It is sophisticated, full of energy and self-confidence. Trenches, dresses, skirts, blazers and tops were designed for girl’s everyday life.
Igor Chapurin emphasized details — leather gloves in nude colours, geometric draping on silk tops and mini-dresses, silver booties, belts with massive buckles, curly hair, suede high-boots and cute hair accessories that brought a bit girlish mood into the whole image.
I especially liked the lighting during the fashion show — the guests were not darkened and it felt like we are walking the runway along with the models.
Thank you to all partners and organisers of the show: Podium Seasons Project, the Central Exhibition Hall Manege, Dress Code Magazine and other informational partners. The show was a complete success!
